By using PYMtools you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to every tool and page on this site.
What this site provides
PYMtools offers free calculation and analysis tools that run inside your web browser. No account is required. The tools are provided as a convenience for laboratory work and are not a substitute for your own judgement, your institution’s procedures, or validated instrument software.
Research use only
These tools are for research use only. They are not intended for use in diagnostic procedures, for clinical decision-making, or for any purpose affecting the treatment of patients. Nothing on this site is a medical device, and no clinical claim is made or implied.
No warranty, and you are responsible for your results
The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Numbers produced by these tools depend entirely on the images and values you supply and on the regions you select. Two people analysing the same blot can legitimately obtain different results. You are responsible for checking that any result is reasonable before relying on it, and for verifying it before including it in a publication, thesis, report, or any other work. Where a calculation matters, we publish the formula on the tool’s page so that you can confirm it independently.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PYMtools shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on any result it produces. This includes, without limitation, incorrect measurements, lost or unrecoverable work, retracted or corrected publications, lost time, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Because the tools process your files locally and store nothing, no copy of your work exists anywhere but on your own device. Export or save what you need before closing the tab. We cannot recover a session.
Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Availability and changes
This site is offered free of charge and may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice. Tools may be updated, and an update may change how a result is calculated. Where a change would affect published values, we will note it on the tool’s page.
If you need a stable, versioned method for a long-running study, record the date you performed the analysis and keep your raw images and exported files.
Acceptable use
You may use these tools freely for academic, commercial, and personal research. You may not:
- copy, mirror, or republish the tools or the written content of this site as your own;
- attempt to disrupt the site, or place automated load on it beyond normal use;
- remove or obscure attribution, copyright notices, or the research-use statement;
- present results from these tools as having been validated or certified by us.
Intellectual property
The tools, their source code, and the written content of this site are © 2026 PYMtools, all rights reserved. The typefaces used are licensed separately under the SIL Open Font License.
You retain all rights in your own images and data. Since they never reach us, we acquire no rights in them and make no claim to them.
Citing these tools
You are welcome to cite a tool in a publication, and each tool page suggests wording for the methods section. Citing a tool does not imply that we endorse, reviewed, or verified your results.
Advertising and third-party links
This site is funded by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third parties and are not endorsements. We do not control their content and are not responsible for external sites they lead to.
Privacy
How this site handles data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep any rights granted to you by the mandatory law of your country of residence.
Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
